SBB CFF FFS - RABe 501 "Giruno" high-speed electric multiple unit

The model is a true-to-scale 1:87 reproduction of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) EC 250 electric high-speed rail car train, class RABe 501 "Giruno", reflecting its 2021 appearance. This five-part basic set includes new tooling, factory-installed LED interior lighting, and digital control features for the cab and control desk lighting. The intermediate cars have pantographs that can be digitally controlled. The train is equipped with an mfx+ World of Operation decoder and offers extensive light and sound functions.

The model features high-efficiency propulsion with a centrally mounted flywheel in the dining car, powering all four axles via cardan shafts. It includes traction tires and detailed cab interiors. Current pickup alternates with the direction of travel, and the lighting system uses maintenance-free LEDs, with headlights and marker lights that change with travel direction. The train operates on a minimum radius of 360 mm and measures approximately 232 cm in length.
